The Healing Power of Remembering the Child Within
No matter how old we are, there are still moments in life when we are reminded of the little person inside who wishes to be seen, heard, nurtured and loved.
When we neglect to pay attention to him or her, tantrums in life happen and usually without warning. We may find ourselves suddenly submerged in situations we may not consciously understand or can rationally control as something else begins to take over.
Suddenly outbursts or arguments with those we love surface from the hidden pain points which still trigger the deep wounds of the child attempting to gain attention and feel needed, accepted, and loved.
The wounds may seem old and should rationally be healed by now, but age has no place here. To the fragile nature of the innocent child within, the pain is real and can still surface at the moment if not looked at and paid attention to.
It still amazes me how this presents itself in my life. Reminders that the inner work of connecting to the child within and being witness to what needs to be seen is still so important, a continuous and necessary process throughout my life journey.
The child within me feels the pain points but also is able to see the highest place within myself and others once she is seen. She holds the keys to forgiveness, awareness, unconditional love, and infinite understanding.
And while she may say or do things in moments when things surface from the memories of deep-rooted childhood wounds, when she is nurtured she is able to transform this and see the truth within herself and in others.
She knows the truth of who you are and looks upon you with the eyes of pure love and forgiveness, knowing you are perfect exactly as you are.
YOU are loved and will still be loved no matter what, as YOU belong!
